1. Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The Guest Guild website and membership services operated by Fay Elle Ltd trading as The Guest Guild (“we,” “us,” “our”).

By joining our waitlist, applying for membership, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to you by email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. About The Guest Guild

The Guest Guild is a private members’ club connecting exceptional guests with exceptional host properties. We provide:

–      A curated membership for discerning guests who travel with care and consideration

–      The Guild Passport — a personal travel profile shared with host properties before a stay, with the member’s explicit consent

–      Access to The Guild Collection — a curated selection of independently chosen properties

–      The Guild Privileges — exclusive benefits from partner properties and brands

–      The Guild Edit — a curated newsletter featuring properties, travel inspiration, and member stories

The Guest Guild acts as an introducer and membership organisation. We are not a travel agent, tour operator, or accommodation provider. Any booking made through or as a result of Guild recommendations is a direct arrangement between the member and the property or service provider.

3. Membership

3.1 Eligibility

Membership of The Guest Guild is by application and at our sole discretion. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee membership. We reserve the right to accept or decline any application without providing a reason.

Members must be aged 18 or over. By applying, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3.2 Membership Application

To apply for membership, you must complete our application process accurately and honestly. Providing false or misleading information may result in immediate termination of membership without refund.

3.3 Membership Benefits

Membership benefits are as described on our website at the time of joining. We reserve the right to add, amend, or withdraw benefits at any time, provided we give reasonable notice to existing members.

Benefits provided by third party partners (properties, brands, service providers) are subject to availability and the terms of those third parties. We cannot guarantee availability of any specific benefit at any time.

3.4 Membership Fees

Membership fees, where applicable, will be clearly communicated before payment is taken. All fees are stated in GBP and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as set out in our cancellation policy below.

We reserve the right to change membership fees. Existing members will be given at least 30 days’ notice of any fee change.

3.5 Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting us at hello@theguestguild.com.

–      If you cancel within 14 days of your initial membership payment (your statutory cooling-off period), you are entitled to a full refund, provided you have not made use of any membership benefits during that period

–      If you cancel after 14 days, no refund will be issued for the current membership period

–      Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current membership period

We reserve the right to terminate membership immediately and without refund if a member is found to have breached these Terms, acted dishonestly, or behaved in a manner inconsistent with the values of The Guest Guild.

3.6 The Founding Circle

Founding members join The Guest Guild during its launch phase and may be offered specific founding rates, permanent credits, or other benefits as communicated at the time of joining. These founding benefits, once granted, will be honoured for the lifetime of the membership at the rate agreed.

4. The Guild Passport

The Guild Passport is a personal travel profile that members may choose to complete and share with host properties before a stay. Use of the Guild Passport is entirely voluntary.

–      You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide in your Guild Passport is accurate

–      You control which sections of your Guild Passport are shared with which properties, via your privacy settings

–      We will only share your Guild Passport with a property with your explicit consent

–      You may update, amend, or delete your Guild Passport at any time

–      We are not responsible for how a property uses the information shared via your Guild Passport, beyond our contractual obligations with that property

Information contained in your Guild Passport is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. The Guild Collection & Bookings

The Guild Collection is a curated selection of properties chosen by The Guest Guild team. Inclusion in the Collection does not constitute an endorsement of any property beyond our curation criteria.

The Guest Guild is not a party to any booking or reservation made between a member and a property. All bookings are made directly between the member and the property or their appointed agent. The Guest Guild accepts no responsibility for:

–      The accuracy of property descriptions or availability

–      The quality, safety, or suitability of any property

–      Any disputes between members and properties

–      Any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment arising from a stay

Members are strongly advised to arrange appropriate travel insurance for all stays.

6. Member Conduct

The Guest Guild is built on mutual trust and respect between guests and hosts. By becoming a member, you agree to:

–      Treat all properties and their owners, staff, and contents with care and respect

–      Leave any property you stay in in the same condition in which you found it

–      Behave in accordance with the house rules of any property you visit

–      Not use Guild membership to access properties for commercial purposes without prior written consent

–      Not misrepresent your Guild membership to any property or third party

–      Not share your membership benefits with non-members

We reserve the right to terminate membership immediately if a member is found to have breached these conduct standards, damaged a property, or acted in a manner that brings The Guest Guild into disrepute.

7. Reviews & Content

Members may be invited to submit reviews of properties they have stayed in. By submitting a review, you confirm that:

–      The review is based on your genuine personal experience

–      The review is accurate and not misleading

–      The review does not contain defamatory, offensive, or unlawful content

–      You grant The Guest Guild a non-exclusive licence to publish and use the review in our communications and marketing

We reserve the right to edit or remove any review that breaches these standards or our guidelines, without notice.

9. Privacy & Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our full Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By becoming a member, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy, which is available at theguestguild.com/privacy-policy

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

–      The Guest Guild provides its membership services on an “as is” basis and makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the services

–      We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of our services or membership

–      Our total liability to you in connection with your membership shall not exceed the total membership fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim

–      Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law

The Guest Guild is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any third party property, partner, or service provider, including in relation to any stay booked through or as a result of Guild recommendations.

11. Referrals

The Guest Guild may operate a referral programme as a membership benefit. Where referral rewards are offered:

–      Rewards are subject to the specific terms communicated at the time of the referral offer

–      Referrals must be genuine — referring yourself or fabricating referrals will result in immediate membership termination

–      We reserve the right to amend or withdraw referral rewards at any time with reasonable notice

12. Partner Relationships

The Guest Guild works with partner properties, brands, and service providers to provide member benefits. These relationships are governed by separate agreements between us and our partners.

The Guest Guild may receive commission or other consideration from partners in connection with member introductions or bookings. This does not affect the independence of our curation or the benefits offered to members.

Partner benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant partner. We encourage members to review these before making use of any partner benefit.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your membership shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If we are unable to resolve a complaint to your satisfaction, you may be entitled to use an alternative dispute resolution service. We will provide details of available schemes on request.

14. General

–      If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect

–      Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right

–      These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and The Guest Guild in relation to your membership

–      You may not transfer your membership or any rights under these Terms to any third party
